Reconstruction of 157 health centers in Serbia to start soon, project worth 60m EUR

Prior to the end of 2006, 20m EUR would be set aside from the budget of Serbia for investments, maintenance and procurement of equipment for health centers, Ministry of Health of Serbia announced.

Another 40m EUR for the same purposes will be provided during 2007, in the scope of Project for urgent reconstruction of health centers in Serbia in 2006 and 2007. The Ministry of Health, as the project initiator, stated that 157 health centers should be reconstructed.

The Project is realized in the scope of the National INvestment Plan, which is used by the Government of Serbia in period 2006-2011 for investment of means obtained through budget surplus, privatization incomes and additional loans.

The Project for urgent reconstruction of health centers is the first from the series of projects that will be realized in the scope of the National Investment Plan, on the basis of the defined priorities related to investments. Total value of the Project is 60m EUR.
