"Hemofarm's" drug factory in Russian city of Obninsk to be put into operation at end of July 2006

Company “Hemofarm” from Vršac will open the first Serbian drug factory in Russian at the end of July 2006 in Russian city of Obnisk, some 80 km away from Moscow.

The value of the investment is 27m EUR, 22m EUR of which were provided from the credit approved by European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development (EBRD). Starting August, "Hemofarm Obninsk", which is the name of that factory, will be producing drugs mainly for cardio-vascular diseases.

"Hemofarm" exports 75% of drugs from Serbia and it is present on Russian market for more than 25 years. Only in 2005, that Serbian company was the 10th biggest foreign suppliers for Russian health care.
