Dejan Bodiroga and Radomir Živanić interested in privatization of Čačak-based "Žitopromet", €7,260,464

After two unsuccessful attempts for privatization of "Žitopromet" in Čačak and cancelled auctions in December 2004 and January 2005, when none of the buyers showed up, the third one will follow with big chances for success. The captain of the basketball national team Dejan Bodiroga and his partner Radomir Živanić, the owner of "Verano motors" company are interested in procurement of "Žitopromet".

Estimate of the value of "Žitopromet" was carried out by Faculty of Agriculture – Novi Sad and, in the last attempt for auction sale, it was calculated that "Žitopromet" was worth €10.37m. According to the offer of the Privatization Agency, 70% of total capital of the company is for sale, which means that the price of the package is 570.85 million CSD, or €7,260,464.

Potential buyers, Bodiroga and Živanović, who have recently bought major part of assets of mills in Bačka Topola, i.e. "Žitko" company, are interested, first of all, in production.
