Construction of distrbutive center of "Metro cash&carry" started in Niš

On June 27, 2006, in Niš, Mayor of Niš, Smiljko Kostić, and the chairman of the Administrative Board of "Metro cash&carry Srbija" laid the cornerstone of the new distributive center of that trade company.

Opening of that center in Niš's housing project "Milka Protić" should take place in Autumn. The plan is that 230 people from the Niš region be employed. The retail space occupies 5,800 square meters. There are also 431 parking places for visitors.

The people from the Niš region will be able to chose from 25,000 articles at most favorable prices. According to the plan, 70% of all food articles will be made in Serbia.
