Russia's Zarubezhneft is not the only company interested in OMV's gas stations in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

As Poslovni Dnevnik learns, INA is also interested in taking over OMV's gas station network. A source from that Croatian oil company confirmed that they had already informed OMV on their interest in the acquisition of gas stations.

People at INA justify their intention to buy OMV's gas stations by the wish to strengthen their position in both retail and wholesale trade. However, they have neither made a concrete move yet nor started negotiations with OMV.

INA believes that this potential acquisition is not going to disturb relations in the market, but its completion and further steps require support from the two main shareholders - Hungary's MOL and the state of Croatia.

By the way, people at OMV said that they wanted to sell gas stations in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina until the year's end and that they were open to a whole series of options.
