Zavarovalnica Triglav to inject capital in Abanka

The CEO of insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav, Matjaz Rakovec, told a press Monday (11 June 2012) that Triglav would take part in the recapitalization of Abanka in order to retain its 25.6% stake in that bank.

Shareholders of Slovenia's third largest bank Abanka decided in late May to increase the core capital of the bank by issuing up to EUR 50m worth of shares. The increase will be conducted in two phases, CEO Joze Lenic noted yesterday.

More details will be revealed when all the necessary permits are obtained, especially the consent of the Securities Market Agency (ATVP), but it is clear that the bank would like to see the capital increase carried out as soon as possible.
