Serbia-Rental of cultivated fields via tender, founding of Agency for Agricultural Land soon

Head of the Land Administration, within the Ministry of Agriculture, Zoran Knežević, announced that all the cultivated fields that belong to the State would be put on tender rental. Explaining the regulations of the Draft Law on Agricultural Land, Knežević said that the Agency for Agricultural Land would be founded and that all the registered collective farms and farmers with the bid higher than the one offered by combines would have the right to compete for the State-owned cultivated fields.

Land complexes, i.e. State-owned land, will be divided into parcels of 50, 100 and more hectares and they will be put to tender separately, so that everybody could take part in the open competition. According to the draft law, the cultivated fields will be rented on 3 - 20 years.
