VURMELING: Serbia is an important partner of Germany

State's secretary of the German ministry of commerce and technology, Joakim Vurmeling estimated that Serbia was an important partner of Germany and announced that the German Government would support Serbian-German cooperation.

-The German Government considers that regardless of the independence of Montenegro and temporary negotiations with EU, Serbia has potential of commerce development in the next few years and we are ready to support you in that - said Vurmeling.

Serbian Minister of commerce, Predrag Bubalo, reminded that the Business council of Serbia and Montenegro and Germany started with work on October, 29th, 2003 and that the work is organized according to working groups that cover public communal companies, energetics, agriculture, transport, tourism, bank and financies.

-Working groups have so far suggested a total of 50 projects out of which a half has been given "green light" on the Coucil assembley, some projects were in the past period realized, and for the new ones - financial means have been secured with the help and support of the German government, said Bubalo.

He announced that the neew joint project of Serbian "JAT Technique" and German airline company "Lufthansa" for the formation of academy for airplane mechaniques in Belgrade which would be a center for training for the countries of the Balkans.
