Judging by the report of the task force formed at the Assembly of company "Novosti", the most serious potential buyers of that company are "WAZ", Vlade Divac and local businessman, of which Miroslav Mišković and Vuk Hamović have officially informed the task force that they are not interested in further competition.
Milan Beko did not want to reveal his intentions, while Duško Knežević, president of "Atlas group" was the only one who confirmed staying in the game.
In the reply of "Atlas group" it was confirmed that Knežević was potential buyer and that, together with the group of domestic partner, he seriously considered procurement of "Novosti". Also, according to the letter, if the offer is accepted, "Atlas group" counts on help from foreign creditors.
Of total of 6,739 stocks of "Novosti", 63.48% are in the hands of minor stockholders. So far, the number of the stocks transferred by minor stockholders to broker company "Citadel security" have been unknown, but there are speculations that, if the broker receives at least 20% of stocks, the unknown businessman, with (or without) Duško Knežević, will buy majority package of stocks of company "Novosti".
