Serbia-Housing credits with better terms for young married couples, loans with interest rate of 7%

Ministry of Finance is not satisfied with the tempo of approval of housing credits through National Corporation for Credit Insurance, so that it will suggest to the Government that the finances should be set aside from the budget for payment of credit down payment of 20% to those who want to buy apartment on installments. Priority in this case will have married couples younger than 45 whose amount of credit does not exceed €100,000. The condition is that the bank that approves credit has the signed contract with the National Corporation. This suggestion could come to life in the second half of 2005, if the budget was rebalanced. With such financial scheme, it is expected that the interest rates decrease from present 7.45 - 8.95 % by another 1.5 %.
