Furniture from Vladicin Han for Europe, USA, Canada - DN Company exports veneer chairs for schools, kindergartens, restaurants, hotels

A proof that there is always a way for a small town company to penetrate world markets is DN Company from Vladicin Han. This firm annually produces between 70,000 and 80,000 veneer chairs and exports them to the markets of Europe, USA, Canada and South Korea.

DN Company started production seven years ago at a small plant in the place called Prekodolce. Now it processes wood in a facility spanning 3,000 square meters.

- My father is a good expert for veneer products, which is why I as well decided to work in this field. We started producing veneer chairs in 2005, in a 60-square-meter room. Our operations grew 10 to 15% annually, and so did the production space - Nenad Velickovic, director of Vladicin Han-based DN Company, says in a talk with eKapija.

The company's production capacity consists of a beech wood processing plant, where veneer is produced, and a veneer furniture manufacturing plant.

- Our furniture is characterized by simplicity, comfort and high functionality. We mainly make veneer chairs for schools and kindergartens, as well as for restaurants and hotels – Velickovic stresses.

As many as 90% of products from the factory in Vladicin Han are exported. DN Company's chairs are mainly sold to kindergartens, schools, restaurants and hotels in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Great Britain, USA, Canada and South Korea.

DN Company employs 85 workers. Velickovic notes that they are satisfied with their last year's business results and hopes that this year will be the same.

- The company annually exports about EUR 1.5 million worth of products. Although we have so far been boosting our production by 10 to 15% per year, this year, because of the crisis, we hope to maintain production and sales at the 2011 level – says Velickovic.
