Magna Seating starts construction of production facility in Odzaci

Implementation of the first big foreign production investment in Odzaci will start with the construction of Magna Seating's production facility in the work zone in that town.

After successfully completed negotiations, the Town Hall of Odzaci allotted a land to the investor for free, while the Serbian government approved that move.

A recent visit of Libor Hitri, director general of the Czech company that is part of a multinational group operating in the automotive industry and a representative of the contractor in Odzaci, marked the beginning of implementation of this significant investment, so that earthworks on the construction of a facility of this world-renowned company have begun recently. The works are being carried out by the construction company Kes from Belgrade.

- I am pleased to say that everything functions as we've planned and that we are on a good way to implement this big investment. What speaks in favor of that is the fact that the Capital Investment Fund of AP Vojvodina has granted RSD 50 million for infrastructure works in the work zone - said Predrag Cvetanovic, mayor of Odzaci.

- These funds will be used to build sewage and water supply systems and a substation. Works will commence within the next few days, and I can say that we will then be fully competitive. Once Magna completes its factory, it will serve as a positive example for other investors to come to Odzaci - he added.

The work zone in Odzaci spans 25 hectares of building land. For now, aside from aforemention facility of Magna Seating, a gas station for future investors is also under construction.
