New Smederevac stove to run on microchip and send text messages

Students and professors from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade have decided to improve our good old stove Smederevac.

The mechanical part of the stove has been substantially modified and is now computer controlled. What is crucial is that everything fits into a single, small "cube" on the integrated panel that controls the complete process of operation. The stove runs on biomass pellets instead of wood and operates automatically, while man only needs to set the desired temperature using a computer.

When you are on your way home from work, just send a text message to turn on the stove. You will then be notified when the temperature starts to grow and warned in case any problem emerges.
