Exit returning to Novi Sad

“After three days of celebrating this historic victory (Serbian style!), we are absolutely ecstatic to confirm that EXIT is coming home,” the festival announced on social media.

They remind that they always said that EXIT would return when freedom returned to our country, and thanks to the courage, determination, and incredible perseverance of Serbian students, that moment has finally arrived, they say.

– Our original plan was to return in 2028, as a full-scale comeback of the magnitude we’re envisioning requires at least 18 months of preparation. But you’ve overwhelmed us with so much love! – they say.

Thousands of incredible emails, messages, comments, and media attention have made one thing clear: “you simply can’t wait that long, and neither can we!”

– So, while EXIT’s grand comeback is scheduled for 2028, we’re already coming together at the Fortress next July to celebrate FREEDOM, UNITY, and LOVE with a very special EXIT experience that we will reveal soon! - the festival notes.

It is worth noting that the organizers of Exit had previously stated that the event was "effectively banned" in Serbia due to the support they extended to the students.

Consequently, the festival did not take place in Novi Sad this year, a city that had hosted it for the previous 25 years.

This year`s edition of the festival was held across various locations worldwide, ranging from Montenegro and Malta to Egypt.
