Mura plans to boost its sewing capacity in its location in Serbia, Mojca Lukancic, the new co-owner of this company (the other co-owner is Nigel Buxton), confirmed to the Slovenian Delo daily.

The relocation to Serbia will cut overall production costs, thus enabling the preservation of jobs in Slovenia.

- We`ve agreed with a partner to try to expand our production in Serbia, where labor costs are 60% lower than in Slovenia. We would hire additional 1,200 female sewers in Serbia - said Mojca Lukancic.

She did not want to reveal the name of the partner.
