According to the law firm CMS, which advised the banks on the transaction, the specific amounts and terms of the financial arrangements were not disclosed.
Magna Pharmacia was founded in 1993, and its founder, Jasna Stanivuk, retained a minority stake after the Czech investment group EMMA Capital acquired a 65% ownership interest in 2024. The Serbian company distributes medical equipment and technology, representing manufacturers such as Abbott Laboratories, GE Healthcare and Zimmer Biomet in its portfolio.
EMMA Capital’s entry into Magna Pharmacia in 2024 served as the foundation for building the regional distribution group Magna MedTech. Following the acquisition of the Serbian company, the group expanded its presence into other markets, including Romania, Montenegro, Moldova, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
Its acquisitions include Romania’s Diamedix and Montenegro’s Urion, while the acquisition of a 70% stake in the Bulgarian group RSR was completed in September 2026.
