Zlatan Klokic, the Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska, announced that the Austrian company STYX (STYX Naturcosmetic GmbH) would open a facility in the Gradiska area that would, among other things, produce chocolate.

Klokic stated that the owner of the Austrian company, Wolfgang Stix, had already initiated the project and established a company in Republika Srpska with the aim of building a plant in Gradiska. The investment is valued at approximately one million convertible marks.

“The goal is to select a construction company to carry out the work,” Klokic told reporters in Banja Luka following a meeting with Stix.

He added that the Gradiska City Administration, as well as the relevant ministry, would provide everything necessary to expedite the realization of this investment.

“The company’s products are 100 percent organic and natural-based. Therefore, I am confident that our local producers will also be able to successfully collaborate with this company. I expect the company to begin production at full capacity as early as next year,” Klokic said.

Stix stated that his company would initially produce chocolate in the region.

“We produce it in Austria as well, but here we will do so using local ingredients. We intend to employ at least 10 workers and make significant investments over the next two years,” Stix emphasized.

He emphasized that his company would also open a distribution center in Republika Srpska for its products, serving the entire region of the former Yugoslavia.

“We have a positive working relationship with the relevant ministry and the local authorities in Gradiska, who have provided us with excellent business conditions,” said Stix, as reported by Srna. Gradiska Mayor Zoran Adzic expressed satisfaction with the investment, noting that the local community was open and well-prepared for new domestic and foreign investments.

“Mr. Stix will develop his company in Nova Topola and will have our full support,” said Adzic, adding that 12 investments had already been implemented in Topola, resulting in the employment of approximately 1,200 workers.

Mladen Filipovic, Head of the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Austria, stated that they had wholeheartedly supported this investment.

“We are pleased that this and numerous other Austrian investments are increasingly being realized here, as we provide favorable business conditions for entrepreneurs. Austria is showing growing interest in economic cooperation with Republika Srpska,” said Filipovic.
