Viber to soon enable free money transfers in Serbia

Rakuten Viber announced today in Nis that, within less than 30 days, a service enabling the free sending and receiving of money via the app would go live in Serbia. Konstantin Kostadinov, the company’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, stated that this was a significant project involving the company, the National Bank of Serbia, and PayChat.

– You simply connect to the chatbot for free, link it to your banking app, and transfer funds at no cost, as easy as sending a message – Kostadinov noted at the 10th Advanced Technologies Forum held at the Science and Technology Park in Nis.

Kostadinov added that, while the project had been developed first in Serbia, there was a possibility that it would also be rolled out to other markets in the region.
