Plan adopted for Poljanica wind farm – 100 MW project to be built near Vranje

The Detailed Regulation Plan for the Poljanica wind farm was adopted at a session of the Vranje City Council.

The construction of the wind farm in the Vranje area is planned by the Belgrade-based company Windflow West, with which the City of Vranje signed a business-technical cooperation agreement regarding the project’s implementation back in November 2022.

As previously announced, the Poljanica wind farm is planned with a nominal capacity of 100 MW, and the project encompasses parts of the cadastral municipalities of Trstena, Rozdace, Dobrejance, and Stance.

According to previously released information, the wind farm is planned for the slopes and peaks of the hills Grot, Oblik, Ravnjak, Gola Cuka, Drenjak, Baltina Cuka, Belanovacki Preslap, Gradiste, and Djuranica, and the project represents the second phase of the development of the Grot and Oblik wind farm complex.

The agreement between the City of Vranje and Windflow also stipulates that, following the wind farm’s construction, the investor is obliged to pay the City a fee amounting to 1% of the gross revenue generated from electricity sales.

For its part, the City of Vranje has committed to providing logistical support to the investor during the preparation of the planning and technical documentation required for the project’s implementation.
