The Plenum of the BiH Logistics Consortium, in coordination with representative road transport associations from Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia, announced that joint regional transport sector protests will begin on September 14 at border crossings with European Union (EU) member states.

The protests, as announced by the Consortium, will be organized due to the lack of a concrete and sustainable solution to the problem of limited stay of professional drivers (90 days within 180 days) from Western Balkan countries in the Schengen Area.

The Consortium stated that drivers continue to face detentions, deportations, entry bans and other consequences of the application of existing rules, and pointed out that this negatively affects the operations of transport companies and supply chains.
