Association of Serbian Banks: Slight growth in loans in August

Total loans to businesses, citizens and entrepreneurs at the end of August this year were 4,757 billion dinars, which is an increase of 1.2% compared to July, announced the Association of Serbian Banks.


Loans to legal entities amounted to around 2,494 billion dinars and were 1.1% higher than in the previous month, and loans to entrepreneurs increased by 0.4%, to around 102.3 billion dinars.

Household debt to banks was 1.4% higher and amounted to around 2,151 billion dinars.

Among household loans, cash loans were 1.2% higher, consumer loans 1.7%, housing loans 1.6%, refinancing loans 1.6%, and agricultural loans 1.3%.

At the end of August, 1.8% of total bank loans were in arrears, the same as in July.
