Establishment of robot training center in Kragujevac planned – Development of language model to be applied to robots also underway

The start of production of humanoid robots in Sabac is of enormous importance for the Serbian economy and economy, but also for the further positioning of Serbia as a technological center not only in the region, but also in Europe and the world, said Mihailo Jovanovic, Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment.

– Now we need to use this great arrival and production to combine everything we have done in the field of digitalization in the past ten years - our knowledge, science and technology parks, platforms for the development of artificial intelligence and supercomputers in Kragujevac with this hardware and create additional value – Jovanovic emphasized for TV Prva.

He pointed out that robots would have a wide range of applications - from agriculture and healthcare, to industry and other areas, and he especially announced the establishment of centers for the development and testing of robots.

– Within the Office for IT and eGovernment and the future Innovation District in Kragujevac, we want to create a special center for training robots. One of the projects we are working on is the development of a Serbian language model, which we want to implement on robots – said Jovanovic.

As he stated, the goal is for robots to be trained to speak Serbian, but also other world languages, and they are expected to demonstrate their skills during the specialized exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade.
