UNDP call for proposals for restoration of priority habitats – Innovative projects to receive USD 150,000 in grants

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has announced that it has launched a “Call for Proposals for Restoration of Degraded Priority Habitats and Establishment of Ecological Corridors”.

The aim of the call is to support, with the support of the Kunming Biodiversity Fund and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, through co-financing, the restoration of at least 200 hectares of degraded priority habitats and connect 10 square kilometers of ecosystems by establishing ecological corridors within or between protected areas in Serbia.

Innovative project ideas for the implementation of active measures for restoration and connectivity of habitats can be submitted to this call by protected area managers, public and private enterprises, local governments, academic and scientific research institutions and organizations.

Authors of proposals that meet the call criteria will receive expert support for their further development into feasible projects, after which the projects most ready for implementation will receive co-financing in the amount of up to 70% of the total project value, i.e. up to a maximum amount of USD 150,000 per project.
