Fruit growers from region of Čačak starts construction of modern cold storage plant, investment worth 1.2m EUR

The construction of modern cold storage plant with controlled atmosphere for storing of 1,600 tons of various fruit will commence in Donja Trepča near Čačak next week.

This project, the initiator of which is the Association of Manufacturers "Čačanska jabuka", is worth about 1.2m EUR. At the end of the last week, the representatives of the Association signed the contract with the Ministry of Agriculture of Serbia on use of non-refundable means in amount of 35 million CSD intended for investments in construction of storage capacities.

The representative of the Association, Miladin Blagojević, says that they expect that the Municipality will also help with about 10 million CSD.

The construction of the modern cold storage plant in this fruit-growing area will represent the make-true of the ancient wish of manufacturers to obtain the warehouse that will preserve the quality of the products until they appear on the market.
