New hotel in Trebinje – Five-story building planned at Agrokop location

The City of Trebinje has launched the development of the Urban Planning Project “Agrokop”, which envisages the construction of a new hotel in the inner-city area, at the site of the former Agrokop, the City Administration confirmed to eKapija.

The hotel is planned at the intersection of Vojvode Stepe Stepanovica and Kralja Petra I Oslobodioca streets, in the immediate vicinity of the roundabout.

– The project envisages the construction of a hotel that will play a significant role in improving the tourist offer and creating new accommodation capacities for domestic and foreign visitors. The City of Trebinje represents one of the significant tourist development centers of Republika Srpska, with exceptional potential for further development of tourism, catering and related facilities.

In this direction, the development of the Urban Planning Project “Agrokop” has been initiated, the development of which is in accordance with the valid spatial planning documentation and the development orientations of the city - the city’s Department of Spatial Planning stated.

Although they emphasize that the content and functional organization of the hotel will be defined in detail through the development of project documentation, it is evident from the Urban Planning Project that the construction of a building with two underground floors, a semi-basement, a ground floor, five upper floors and a loft is planned.

The City Administration states that the new hotel is conceived as a modern, representative and functional building, and special attention will be paid to its appearance.

– Special emphasis has been placed on the architectural design of the building, its integration into the existing environment and respect for the characteristic urban and architectural identity of Trebinje – the City Administration told eKapija.

It is not yet known who will be the investor of the future hotel.

The implementation of the project should contribute to increasing the accommodation capacity of Trebinje and additionally enrich the tourist and hospitality offer of the city, while the location in the inner-city area could be important for the further development of this part of the city.

The Urban Planning Project “Agrokop” is open for public inspection until September 25, 2026.
