Year-on-year inflation in Serbia in July 1.9%, month-on-month 0.2%

Year-on-year inflation in Serbia in July this year amounted to 1.9%, and month-on-month was 0.2%, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Consumer prices, which are used to measure the inflation, increased by 2.5%, on average compared with December 2025.


Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption, in July 2026 in relation to the previous month, decrease of prices was noted in the groups Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-2.0%), Clothing and footwear (-0.7%) and Education (-0.6%). Increase of prices was noted in the groups Recreation, sport and culture (6.2%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.3%), Health (0.8%) and Transport (0.5%).

Also, increase of prices are noted in the groups Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance and Restaurants and accommodation services (each by 0.3%) and in the groups Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services and Information and communication (each by 0.2%).
