In the presence of the Provincial Secretary for Energy and Mineral Resources, Radoslav Strikovic, the contract for construction of two bio gas plants was signed in the Government of Vojvodina (April, 19, 2012). The projected investment value is over EUR 13 million.
One plant will be built in Banatska Subotica, and the other in Morin. Investor of both biogas plants is "Enviro pass" from Cyprus.
The agreement was signed by the directors of 'Pigfarm' from Banatska Subotica, Ozren Bolic, 'Essentico' Kula - farm in Mokrin, and on behalf of investors, " Enviro Pass Cyprus ", and Serbia, General Manager Mr. Cristian Hermerka. The supplier of technology and complete equipment is PPM Energie GmbH Germany. Biogas plants will have independent installed power of around 999 kW and they will use a mixed energy supplier slurry from farms, slaughter waste and raw waste of biological origin.
Mr. Cristian Hermerka spoke more about the project pointing out that the legal framework for investment in our country was good, which is very important for investors. He also stressed that the construction of biogas plants was a very good job, because it tended to renewable energy sources such as biogas, biomass and bio diesel. He also said that they were in negotiations with NIS for the construction of the bio diesel plant in Novi Sad.
Biodiesel production will take a lot of rapeseed and sunflower, which are produced here, which is economically good for the government and population, explained Mr. Hermerka and added that, in addition to hiring people in manufacturing, there would also be domestic companies present in the construction of the factories.
