NIS submits request to OFAC for new special license

NIS has submitted a request to OFAC for a new special license to enable it to continue operating after the expiration of the previously issued license, that is, after July 31.

As stated by NIS, the request emphasizes the importance of NIS in ensuring continuity in supplying the domestic market, especially given the current developments on the global energy market, and reminds about the ongoing negotiations on changing the ownership structure of NIS.

– NIS once again emphasizes that the company’s uninterrupted operations, the regular operation of the Pancevo Oil Refinery, as well as the regular supply of the market are of key importance for preserving the energy stability of the Republic of Serbia – the statement says.

The current operation license for Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) issued by OFAC expires on July 31.
