New Emergency Medical Service Building to Be Fully Equipped Within Weeks

The new Emergency Medical Service building in Belgrade will receive all the necessary permits within the next few weeks and will be fully equipped by then, after which Belgrade residents will be able to receive the best possible services there, Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar announced while touring the final works on the new building together with Prime Minister Djuro Macut and Emergency Medical Service Director Goran Colakovic.

The building will also house a new call center covering over 200 m2, which will be significantly more spacious than the existing one.

- Everyone will have their own space, they will have modern equipment and air conditioning. They will not face the motorway but the forest, so there will be no noise and they will have ideal working conditions. In addition, the space will be divided so that department heads can monitor everything. There will be monitors showing the locations of ambulance vehicles, so at any given moment you will know exactly where they are, which vehicle is closest to the address from which the call was made and which can arrive fastest to provide assistance - the minister said, as reported by TV Una.

Loncar also pointed out that the Emergency Medical Service has received four new ambulances and announced that it will receive another 25 vehicles by September.
