International Tender Announced for Supervision of Paracin-Trupale-Medjurovo Railway Modernization, Six-Year Contract

Serbian Railways Infrastructure Belgrade has announced an international tender for the selection of an engineer to provide professional supervision of the design and execution of works on the Paracin-Trupale-Medjurovo section as part of the Belgrade-Nis railway modernization project. The procedure is financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The procurement covers professional supervision services for the preparation of the construction permit design, detailed design and as-built design, as well as supervision of works on the third section of the railway modernization project.

Works on this section are being carried out through two design-and-build contracts. The first covers the Paracin-Stalac, Djunis-Trupale and Trupale-Medjurovo subsections, while the second covers the Stalac-Djunis section. Following the termination of the contract for the first lot, the remaining works are planned to be included in the second contract through an annex.

The tender specifies that the ERTMS system is not covered by this contract and that a separate public procurement procedure will be conducted for supervision of its installation.

The supervision services contract is planned for a period of 72 months, or six years. The procurement is being conducted under a restricted two-stage procedure, with between four and six candidates to be invited to participate in the second stage.

The deadline for submitting requests to participate is September 24.
