Green Light for Aqua Park in Knjazevac - Swimming Pool, Water Slides, Fountain to Be Built...

The Municipality of Knjazevac has obtained a construction permit for an aqua park in the Rgoste settlement, with an estimated value of around 62.5 million dinars excluding VAT.

According to the decision of the Municipal Administration, the complex will be built on a 5,081 m2 plot and will include a receiving pool for the water slides, a technical room for pool equipment, three different water slides, a fountain and a relaxation area.

Three slides with different characteristics are planned: a 68-meter-long spiral slide, a three-lane multislide with each lane measuring 28 meters, and a 31-meter-long speed slide. A technical room for pool equipment will also be built within the complex, while the building will have a ground floor and a basement intended for technical facilities.

The total gross floor area of the buildings is 436.87 m2, while the usable area is 415.98 m2.

The design and technical documentation was prepared by Bibis doo Belgrade. The construction permit was issued on the basis of the construction permit design prepared during 2026.

The investor is the Municipality of Knjazevac, which is required to submit a notification of commencement of works to the competent authority before construction begins. Under current regulations, the permit will cease to be valid if construction does not begin within three years of it becoming final, or if an occupancy permit is not issued within five years.

In March, Knjazevac Mayor Milan Djokic and Member of Parliament Branislav Josifovic laid the foundation stone for the construction of the aqua park at the Banjica tourism and recreation complex.
