One of the largest global wine stores - Winebow, whose annual turnover is measured in hundreds of millions of dollars, has decided to import three Serbian wines to the USA - Jelic Winery's Morava, Mackov Winery's Portugieser and Janko Winery's Jelena.
According to the electronic magazine vino.rs, this store has chosen these three Serbian wines over the wines of several wineries from the region, after a competition and a wine tasting battle in New York.
Although not all details have been revealed, it is for certain that all three selected Serbian wines will be shipped to the USA bearing the label "Wines from the Balkans" instead of "Made in Serbia" because, as it was explained, people there are more familiar with the location of the Balkans.
