New Airbus A320 arrives to Air Serbia fleet

Air Serbia’s fleet has been expanded with another aircraft – an Airbus A320 bearing registration YU-APV, which landed yesterday at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. The aircraft, manufactured in 2008, is configured to carry 180 passengers and will further enhance the company’s operational capacity while supporting the continued development of its network, Air Serbia says in a press release.

– The development of our fleet and the introduction of additional aircraft are part of the company’s long-term growth plan. This allows us to further strengthen our operational capabilities and ensure a stable and reliable level of service for passengers, while continuously expanding our route network from Belgrade. Investments in the fleet enable us to maintain a strong market position in the region, while ensuring a high level of efficiency and comfort in our day-to-day operations. Another aircraft of the same type is expected to join the fleet in the coming period, which will further contribute to greater flexibility in flight planning – said Jirí Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

The Airbus A320-232 is equipped with two IAE engines, each delivering 24,000 lbf (106.75 kN) of thrust. With a wingspan of 35.80 meters, a length of 37.57 meters, and a maximum operating altitude of 39,800 feet, the aircraft provides reliable and efficient performance on short- and medium-haul routes. Before arriving in Serbia, the aircraft underwent a complete repainting in the Netherlands and received Air Serbia’s new livery.

Air Serbia’s fleet currently consists of more than 30 aircraft of various types, including wide-body Airbus A330-200s, narrow-body A320-200s and A319-100s, Embraer E195s, as well as ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft. The continuous renewal and modernization of the fleet confirm the company’s commitment to further improving its services, expanding its destination network, and increasing flight frequencies, the press release concludes.
