The platform should be available during 2027, and the goal of the project is to bring the experiences of developed capital markets closer to Serbian citizens through modern digital tools, financial education and a responsible approach to investing, reports Beta.
Inspira Group Director Branimir Gajic said that the company’s strategic plan had been to sooner or later enter the provision of certain types of financial services, and that the specific initiative for the VIA project had arisen from cooperation with the Swedish partner.
– Financial services can be different. This specific initiative regarding long-term investment savings resulted from discussions and cooperation with our current Swedish partner Nordic Bridge Capital, which had a specific proposal, project and idea to enter this business – said Gajic.
He stated that the project had been initiated by the Swedish partner due to their rich experience and expertise in the Scandinavian markets.
– Technologically, the solution will be a platform, application and website, but it is much more important to create a habit for this type of investment, the financial knowledge necessary for investing and, most importantly, trust – Gajic emphasized.
Speaking about the potential of the domestic market, Gajic assessed that Serbia already had significant investment potential.
– It is a well-known fact, and the data is also published by the National Bank of Serbia, that there is a large amount of savings in Serbia. These amounts are quite sufficient to support such a project. Our goal is to offer people an alternative, namely the opportunity to direct part of their savings towards more active forms of investment that can bring a higher return than classic bank savings – said Gajic.
He added that the market for such a product already existed and was measured in billions of euros, and added that he considered this sufficient to launch the project, with the expectation that it would grow along with the Serbian economy.
Nordic Bridge Capital CEO George Sallfeldt said that the company’s goal was to provide Serbian citizens with easier access to global capital markets and long-term investment opportunities.
