Buyer of Vojvođanska banka, in which National Bank of Greece, HVB and Polish "PKO BP" bank were interested, will be known in July 2006

National Bank of Greece, HVB Bank and Polish "PKO BP" bank will give their final offers for procurement of Vojvođanska banka on June 15, 2006. The "winner" will be known in July 2006.

Only then will be known how much will the country get for its 99.8% of ownership, but that should not be less than 500m EUR, because that is the amount mentioned before by Serbian officials.

The tender procedure in sale of the domestics banks owned by State is pretty conspirative, but, according to unofficial information, the price will be the most important criterium. It is still not clear why there is no public opening of the tender bids for the banks, because that creates much space for speculations.
