As announced, the Minister of Culture in the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Nikola Selakovic, and the President of the Municipality of Apatin, Dubravka Korac, signed a contract within the “Cities in Focus 2026” competition.
Selakovic reminded that this was the second contract in 12 months between the Ministry and this municipality, adding that the goal of the first contract had been to establish a city museum, or the Apatin Museum, in one of the most representative residential houses, built more than a hundred years ago, in the center of the town itself.
The Ministry also allocated 11.3 million dinars last year, and since this is a co-financing program, the Municipality of Apatin will also allocate certain funds this year for the continuation of the works, he added.
The goal of the Ministry and the Municipality of Apatin is to jointly complete this initiated capital project, said Selakovic, expressing the expectation that “Kuca Turski” would be one of the most visited places with cultural content and programs in Apatin, the statement says.
