The artistic-production group Noc Muzeja (Night of Museums) has announced that this year's namesake event will be held for the ninth time on May 19th.
During one night, 3,000 museums across Europe open their door to present exhibitions and programs that arouse the curiosity of all visitors. Held under the auspices of the European event, the domestic event Night of Museums will take place in 65 cities in Serbia, 64 locations in Belgrade and at more than 150 cultural institutions.
In the night on May 19th, from 6 PM, doors will be opened by museums, galleries and exhibition spaces in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sabac, Subotica, Arandjelovac, Nis, Becej, Valjevo, Titel, Kragujevac, Smederevska Palanka, Backa Topola, Indjija, Vranje, Zrenjanin, Bor…

Apatin, Backi Petrovac, Gornji Milanovac, Irig and Paracin will join this event for the first time this year.
Held under the slogan "Excellent Fun at Museums," Night of Museums will once again try to bring these institutions closer to "common" and "non-museum audience" and make it possible for them to walk to the most beautiful locations in Serbia and visit unique exhibitions prepared exclusively for that night.
Last year's Night of Museums attracted 280,000 visitors in Belgrade, 105,000 in Novi Sad, 19,000 in Sabac, 5,000 in Pancevo and 10,000 people in Zrenjanin.
The parton of this year's Night of Museums is the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
