Energoprojekt Oprema getting ready for sale – Valuer wanted

The bankruptcy administrator of Energoprojekt Oprema AD Belgrade in bankruptcy has announced a repeated call for bids for the valuation of the company’s assets, which include land, equipment and supplies at the Sijarinska Banja location in the municipality of Medvedja.

As stated in the announcement by the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency, the valuation relates to several cadastral plots in Sijarinska Banja, which are under the right-of-use regime, as well as equipment and supplies located at that location.

The assets that will be subject to valuation include marble cutting and polishing machines, planers, lathes, cranes, welding machines, grinders, as well as various hand tools and protective equipment. Also included are supplies of onyx slabs in various stages of processing.

The bankruptcy trustee stated that interested parties must submit evidence of possession of appropriate licenses and qualifications, and the offer must state the price of the service, the payment deadline and the deadline for preparing the assessment report.

According to the court’s decision, the company Energoprojekt Oprema went bankrupt in 2024 at the request of the company Energo Nigeria. Energo Nigeria is also the name of the company that, according to the information from the press release of the Serbian Embassy in Abuja from 2018, was a subsidiary of Energoprojekt, in which capacity it was a co-signer of the contract with the Chinese company TBEA on a EUR 52 million project for the Nigerian Transmission Company six years ago.

Energo Nigeria proposed, and the Commercial Court in Belgrade accepted, that Energoprojekt Oprema be declared bankrupt due to its permanent inability to pay.

The explanation of the decision states that Energo Nigeria, in its bankruptcy petition, stated that Energoprojekt Oprema owed it EUR 1.4 million in “counterclaim” in accordance with the Zurich Arbitration decision, as well as EUR 340,700, GBP 22,000 and USD 185,000 in arbitration costs.
