One-stop-shop for investors: Ministry of Finance seeking IT partners to develop new capital markets portal

The Serbian Ministry of Finance has taken a key step towards the digitalization of the domestic financial sector. As part of a broader state project to stimulate the domestic stock market called “Catalyzing Long Term Finance through Capital Markets”, an international tender has been announced for the development and implementation of a central software platform – “Development of the Capital Markets One-Stop-Shop Portal”.

The project is financed by a World Bank loan and the main goal is to create a single digital point that will bring together all relevant financial market players in the country in one place.

What is the “One-Stop-Shop” portal?

Designed as an interactive and centralized web portal, this system should become the main starting point for both domestic and international investors.

The platform will enable in one place:

• Centralized access to information - All data on corporate securities, shares and issued bonds will be publicly and transparently available.
• Common regulatory base - The portal will store complete legal and regulatory framework, making it easier for foreign funds to understand the domestic market.
• Official channel for issuers - Companies wishing to issue securities will use this site for direct communication and meeting the requirements of key state regulatory bodies.
• Financial education - A special segment of the portal will be dedicated to educating citizens and businesses about modern financial products and investment opportunities beyond traditional bank savings.
