Bambi still the biggest confectioner - Profit leaps 61.5%

Pozarevac-based Bambi-Banat's business revenue in 2011 amounted to RSD 7.8 billion, enabling the company to keep the lead in the domestic confectionery market.

Bambi's business revenue grew 4.1%, while its sales rose 1.8% to RSD 7.8 billion.

Bambi's business profit dropped to RSD 1.1 billion (down by 17%), but the net profit rose 61.5% to RSD 897.9 million. The main reason for the net profit growth is the reduction of other expenditures from RSD 595.8 million to RSD 213.9 million.

Bambi significantly cut its already not too big long-term liabilities, which fell 31.8% to RSD 567.8 million. Its short-term liabilities grew mildly to RSD 2.6 billion.

The Bambi shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange have been oscillating around the level of RSD 20,000 for a long time. With that share price, the company's market capitalization amounts to RSD 7.2 billion (EUR 64.6 million).
