Real GDP growth in Serbia in first quarter at 3.2%

Observed by activity, in the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year, the most significant real growth in gross value added was recorded in the wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles, transport and storage, and accommodation and food services sectors (4.9%).
A real decline in gross value added was recorded in the industry and water supply and wastewater management sectors (0.7%) and the construction sector (5.1%).
Household final consumption expenditure increased by 4.8%, final consumption expenditure of non-profit institutions providing services to households by 5.6%, government final consumption expenditure by 5.1%, gross fixed capital formation by 1.4%, exports of goods and services by 4.6%, and imports of goods and services by 3.6%.
