A total of 10 flights are planned as part of the first major delivery, and around 4,200 live lambs from domestic farms will be transported to Algeria. This is one of the most complex and extensive organized export operations of live livestock from Serbia in recent years.
Minister Glamocic emphasized that this arrangement represented a significant success for domestic livestock farming and confirmation that Serbia had the capacity to implement demanding export operations that involve multiple institutions and strict veterinary procedures.
As he stated, it is particularly important that it is not meat that is being exported, but live lambs, which requires additional coordination in terms of transport, animal welfare, veterinary controls and loading organization, in order to ensure the regular implementation of flights.
