Sremska Mitrovica seeking private partner for reconstruction and maintenance of local roads – Tender worth 1.6 billion dinars announced

The City of Sremska Mitrovica has announced a public procurement procedure for a public-private partnership (PPP) project that includes the design, financing, construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of part of the local road infrastructure, as well as long-term maintenance of roads in the city.

The estimated value of the project is 1.6 billion dinars, and the procedure is being carried out in an open procedure, in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement. The public contract is being concluded without concession elements, with a public payment model for the private partner.

The project plans to reconstruct key city streets, including Svetog Dimitrija, Vodna and Filipa Višnjica streets, as well as maintain all other local roads that are not included in the reconstruction.

Special emphasis is placed on Svetog Dimitrija Street, which after the reconstruction will receive separate traffic flows for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, as well as new parking spaces and improved safety.

The private partner will also be responsible for the preparation of complete technical documentation, including geomechanical surveys, traffic analyses and the design of the road structure with a design life of 15 years.

The project also envisages a road maintenance model for a period of six years, which includes regular, rehabilitation and emergency maintenance, as well as winter maintenance with defined standards and priorities.
