Linglong to Further Expand Capacity in Zrenjanin by an Additional 70 Hectares

Linglong Tire plans to further expand its capacities in Zrenjanin by an additional 70 hectares as part of a new planned investment. According to mayor Simo Salapura, discussions and negotiations regarding the project are currently underway.

- Talks are, of course, being held both with the state and with the local government, which shows that there is economic potential here and that domestic and foreign companies operating and owning plots in this area — 27 in total — demonstrate that we are offering potential investors not only a location, but also strong transport connectivity and the fastest possible resolution of requests they have toward the local administration, Salapura said.

He recalled that Linglong currently operates on 100 hectares and employs more than 2,400 workers.

- What could additionally benefit us in attracting foreign investments is the construction of the future Belgrade–Zrenjanin–Novi Sad highway, together with the industrial zone available to potential investors. We are already receiving certain inquiries regarding industrial zones, he pointed out.

Expansion and development of the Southeast industrial zone in Zrenjanin is currently underway. The expansion project includes the construction of new roads and supporting infrastructure. The Southeast Industrial Zone 2-B, where works are currently being carried out, covers an area of 87 hectares.
