Two border crossings in the north to operate 24 hours a day from May 1

From May 1, both the Backi Vinogradi–Asotthalom and Horgos 2–Roszke 2 road border crossings will operate continuously, police.hu reports. The aim of this decision is to enable better traffic flow at the border, especially during spring and summer.

The Horgos 2–Roszke 2 border crossing will operate continuously from May 1 at 4 AM., while the Backi Vinogradi–Asotthalom crossing will switch to a full-day regime from 7 AM on the same day.

This change will significantly facilitate the everyday life of passengers who regularly cross the border, and will also contribute to a more even distribution of traffic and relieve the burden on larger highway border crossings, the Hungarian Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
