Hotel Zlatarski Zlatnik to expand capacity – Ground floor extension planned

The Municipality of Nova Varos has announced a public call for submissions for the Urban Planning Project for the Ground Floor Extension of the Hotel Zlatarski zlatnik on Zlatar, which plans to functionally and substantively expand the existing tourist facility.

The applicant is Zeljko Topalovic from Nova Varos, a former basketball player who opened the hotel in 2013, while the project developer is the design and planning bureau URBICO from Sjenica.

The plan envisages the extension of several functional units within the ground floor of the hotel, with the aim of improving the tourist offer and raising the standard of accommodation. As stated in the documentation, the interventions include the creation of a canopy above the entrance, the closure of the existing fitness terrace, the construction of a wellness room with an accompanying machine room, as well as a new warehouse unit.

The extension is, as stated, designed to fit into the existing architectural concept of the building, using materials such as stone and wood, as well as modern solutions in terms of facade treatment and energy efficiency.

According to the project, the building will also receive improved internal space organization, with a focus on expanding tourist and accompanying facilities. The finishing touches include the use of natural and high-quality materials, while the construction will be carried out in a reinforced concrete system with masonry infill.

The public presentation of the project lasts until April 24.
