The contract was signed by the directors of the company Sarajevo-gas from East Sarajevo, Nedeljko Elek, and Konvar from Belgrade, Milos Petrovic, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Savo Minic, and the Minister of Energy and Mining, Petar Djokic, as reported by Capital (source: Srna).
The company Konvar is the leader of the consortium that will be the contractor for this project, and it also includes the companies Gastek Indjija, Radis East Sarajevo, Zavod za zavarivanje Belgrade and Jokic Invest Zvornik, the Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska announced earlier.
The project to build the Sepak-Novi Grad main gas pipeline consists of three phases, the first of which includes the construction of the primary main gas pipeline Sepak-Banjaluka.
The second phase includes the construction of connecting gas pipelines to the cities and municipalities along the route, i.e. the planned gasification of 18 local communities along the route.
The third phase includes the construction of the main gas pipeline Banjaluka-Novi Grad. The planned length of the bidirectional gas pipeline route is about 500 kilometers.
