Year-on-year inflation in March 2.8%

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in March 2026 in relation to February 2026 increased by 0.5%, on average. Consumer prices in March 2026 increased by 2.8% in relation to March 2025, while compared with December 2025, consumer prices increased by 1.3%, on average, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption, in March 2026 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Transport (2.3%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.9%), Health (1.2%), Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services (0.4%), Restaurants and hotels (0.3%), in the groups Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Information and communication and Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (each by 0.1%). Decrease of prices was noted in the groups Recreation, sport and culture (-1.8%) and in the groups Clothing and footwear and Insurance and financial services (each by -0.2%).

Prices of other goods and services mostly remained unchanged.
