Within the strategy of customs system reinforcement in the Republic of Serbia and the process of harmonizing regulations with European Union requisites, Serbian Customs Administration has organized a presentation of educational programs for the purpose of familiarization with European customs practice, standards and regulations.

This twinning project, completed with the experience provided by the partner in the project – France, represents an important instrument of EU pre-accession assistance. Its implementation is directly aimed at reinforcing administrative and operative capacities of our customs system.

Milsped representatives took the opportunity to participate in direct exchange of experience and skills with the representatives of French and Serbian customs administration. Apart from introducing operative methodology of the partner country’s customs system, special attention was drawn to the presentation of AEO (“Authorized Economic Operator”) status development system. AEO is aimed at numerous aspects of risk analysis, that is, safety and security criteria for international supply chain development.

More information on the entire project can be found on the website of the Customs Administration: http://www.carina.rs/lat/medjunarodnasaradnja/Stranice/projektiEU.aspx
