Government Adopts Regulation on Aid to Powdered Milk Producers

At its latest session, the Government of Serbia adopted the Regulation on an extraordinary intervention measure to support powdered milk producers for the delivery of powdered milk to producers of confectionery products and ice cream, which defines the method of implementing this extraordinary intervention measure.

Funds have been secured for the efficient and timely prevention, i.e. the elimination of market disturbances. The extraordinary intervention measure provides financial support to powdered milk producers. The support is granted on the basis of an accepted offer for the delivery of powdered milk produced from milk of domestic origin - the Government stated.

The offer, it was specified, must be issued after January 1, 2026, and the powdered milk producer is obliged to deliver the product to a producer of confectionery products or ice cream in accordance with the decision prescribed by this regulation.

Government members also adopted the Regulation establishing the Program for Supporting the Development of Extremely Underdeveloped Municipalities (local self-government units from the fourth group) for 2026, with funds in the amount of 90,000,000 dinars intended for the implementation of the project “Procurement of tanker trucks for local self-government units: Sjenica, Gadzin Han, Doljevac, Surdulica and Bosilegrad.”

These five local self-governments are among the most vulnerable, considering that they either do not have tanker trucks at all or their existing ones are outdated.
